Best practices!
Some of our Homewatch clients have us turn the water to the house on when we arrive so we can run the faucets and toilets and then we leave, turn the water off to the house. That is not a bad idea since it can prevent water damage catastrophes from a leaking pipe that isn't detected for days, weeks or months.
Yesterday we found a water leak after turning the water to the house on. Thank goodness the leak was in the garage and it was only on for a couple of minutes before we quickly turned it off.
